Without intending to start an ideological war that gets this thread pulled, did anyone out there have any idea what she was talking about???

She apparently --I didn't see it-- Twittered only an hour before the speech that she wasn't going to run for re-election (after finishing out her current term). This change indicates she was winging it I guess?

She's made a few running references this week. A. she could beat Obama, B. McCain wouldn't let her work out on campaign trail. Maybe he was concerned she'd stop to actually say something to someone that wasn't prepared, like today.

I did, she was talking about Alaska and things that are important up there to them, you and I, if we live in more socialist states like CA or NY wouldnt understand it all.

My favorite part was her saying that to remain in office would be the quitter's way out, and she is not a quitter. But the point of the conference was to announce she is quitting. Shocked

Of course there's more to it than what she's saying, and that is TRULY what I hate about Pols; they never tell you the whole truth and nuttin but the truth. Evil or Very Mad
I'm a big BO fan, but even he in the debates guarded his words so closely that he actually said nothing.

Her daughter's baby daddy said she quit so that she can take advantage of money making opportunities like writing a book and speaking engagements.

He's also writing a book which is apparently an insider's tale of the Palin family.

He lived with them jokers for a couple of months, I believe.

I think he was kicked out when his mama was busted for slanging.
